Heat & Air – The replacement cost of a furnace and/or air conditioner system is dependent upon the size and the quality of the units used. Most units will last 10-20 years.
Many homes today have two (or even three) separate heating and cooling systems. They are often called zones. This means you have two furnaces and two air conditioners in a two-zone home, so you must double the costs for full replacement of the systems.
The following is an approximate cost for a mid-quality, mid-sized unit (stated in US Dollars):
Jeff’s Note: if you replace the entire system at once, it saves money.
Hot Water – Hot water tanks will last from 8-15 years depending on the quality of the unit. A typical 40-gallon unit will run $500-$750, including installation and modifications required to meet current Fulton County, GA codes.
